It wasnt until 1973 that the Motown cassette we know and love started. After a 1965 -1971 run without the

plastic box, they returned to this design. Most Motown releases from 1973 to the late 1980s had this look.

Actually Motown releases had the blue, Tamla had yellow , Soul green ,and Gordy Red. There are a few Natural resources

with a brown design.

These are mainly the original release Blue Cassettes from 1973-81 .  They were not reissued in 1981 These were color coded starting in 1977.
